Panned by the critics and a box office bomb, it’s still worth a look if you like offbeat comedies.

Wrong Is Right (1982) – A black comedy starring Sean Connery as a TV reporter covering a story about an Arab ruler threatening to detonate two suitcase nukes if the President of the United States refuses to resign. Oddly enough, the tale of suitcase bombs and tabloid television was deemed unrealistic when the film was released.

Bob Roberts (1991) – Tim Robbins makes his directorial debut in this satirical mockumentary about a conservative politician running for the United States Senate. The folk songs performed by Roberts will have you rolling, and the excellent supporting cast includes Alan Rickman, Susan Sarandon, James Spader, and Jack Black.
